Our staff includes two attorneys: Elizabeth Rice, partner, and
Anne Marie Galanes, associate, both fully bilingual and with over
fifteen years experience in litigation. Our secretary, Yomari
Batista, has a full paralegal training.
Though small, we have all the technological capabilities of a
modern law office, such as high speed internet connection with
availability of the same to all members of the staff, commercial
copying and digital imaging. We are familiar with electronic file
management required by some clients. Our billing is performed
with Timeslips and integrated with ABA billing codes. We recognize
the business world is more inclined to the usage of Windows XP
and most of our computers run on such system, but we also have
available Mac OS X which we enjoy using for graphic applications
as needed.
Our experience has provided us with several skills worth mentioning.
Medical malpractice litigation and continued education have given
us with a good reading knowledge of medical records, essential
for the evaluation of damages. It has also provided us with a
good overview and personal contact with the best known experts
of our jurisdiction, including medical experts and private investigators.
We have also close contact with very responsible translators and
stenographers.
We enjoy working closely with our clients in determining what
their interests are in each file being handled. We do not hesitate
to recommend and work to achieve a quick settlement if our appreciation
is that it would be cost effective to handle the file such way.
